By Order of His Majesty's Commissioners

Thou hast attended a Confession. By long tradition, thy Garb, thy Locale, and the Duration of thy Attendance are now lodged at the Crown's office. This is the same Receipt the Crown of 1899 issued — only the costume hath altered.

Thou art permitted, of course, to lodge a Petition for Remedy. The Office hath made the form brief. Choose the Petition that fits thy case.

Three Petitions

The Crown permits three forms of objection. Lodge the one that fits thy case. Pre-fill the form below; the letter is generated in plain English, in the formal-legal register the Party requireth, and downloadable as a text file. A mailto: link is provided in addition.

The Subject Access Petition

Compel the Party that holdeth thy Vapors to disclose them in full. Permitted under Article 15 of the Crown's General Regulations. The Party hath thirty days to respond.

Plain English: GDPR Article 15 SAR — request a copy of all personal data a company holds about you.

The Petition for Erasure

Compel the Party to delete thy Vapors entire. Permitted under Article 17. Most Parties shall claim exception; the Office recommendeth lodging regardless.

Plain English: GDPR Article 17 / Right to Erasure — demand deletion of your personal data.

The Petition to the Crown

When the Party refuseth, lodge thy grievance at the Crown's Information Commissioner. The Crown shall investigate.

Plain English: Make a complaint to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO). Use this when a company has not responded to your SAR or refused your erasure request.

The Bestiary

The Scrutinizer recommendeth, by way of beginning, the most-Confessed-to Parties of the Realm. One click pre-filleth the relevant Petition with the Party's registered name and Data Protection Officer contact.

The Office's directory may be a season out of date — verify before lodging. DPO emails are sourced from each Party's own privacy-policy publication; review the Party's current notice if doubt arises.

The Bureau of Sovereign Homes

Should the Subject prefer a steward to walk these Petitions through to their lodging — the Bureau of Sovereign Homes provideth such service. Iris, the Bureau's Reclaimer of Vapors, hath lodged some seventeen hundred fifty pounds of cost upon the Data-Brokers of the Realm thus far.
